Our marina is beautifully situated along the Staande Mastroute, on the eastern bank of the lively Heimanswetering, between the Woubrugge bridge and the ’s‑Molenaarsbrug.
Directly opposite the marina stands the beautifully restored Vrouwgeest Windmill from 1797, owned by the Vrolijk family. From the harbour you can enjoy a characteristic Dutch panorama every day, with the historic windmill as its idyllic centrepiece. Especially at sunset, this view becomes truly enchanting and is a favourite spot for capturing stunning photographs.
But Alphen aan den Rijn — as well as the immediate surroundings of the marina — has much more to offer, providing plenty of reasons to moor here and stay overnight.
Alphen aan den Rijn is a city with a rich history shaped by water, located in the heart of the Green Heart of the Netherlands.
As early as Roman times, the Oude Rijn played an important role. Along this vital trade route stood the castellum Albaniana, from which the city takes its name. For centuries, the waterways attracted farmers, traders, and sailors, forming the lifeline of the surrounding region.
Today, Alphen aan den Rijn is a green and vibrant city where history and water sports come together. With the Oude Rijn, the river Aar, and numerous connections to recreational cruising routes, it is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts who enjoy tranquillity, nature, and a strong sense of community.
The city features a lively town centre and also offers enjoyable attractions for children, such as the Avifauna Bird Park and the Archeon museum park.
It goes without saying that from the marina a wide variety of boating trips can be made in the immediate surroundings.
You are located right in the Zuid‑Holland lake district. Cruises such as a city tour of Leiden, via the Kaag, and then returning via the Braassemermeer are perfectly feasible—even for sailing yachts with a fixed (standing) mast.
If you own a motorboat or a sloop, there is an abundance of options for beautiful cruises through the stunning natural surroundings, such as trips around the Westeinderplassen and the Nieuwkoopse Plassen.
A day trip to the Braassemermeer and the Hemmen is always enjoyable, especially for families with children.

Wetering Park
Just a few dozen metres from the marina you will find Wetering Park, featuring a children’s water play area, small sports fields, and a football cage. The park also includes a designated dog‑walking and dog‑play area, where you can let your dog run freely or enjoy a refreshing swim.

Our marina is truly a members’ marina: working together and pulling our weight.
Members who are physically able contribute actively at regular intervals. This collective effort enables us to achieve a great deal without incurring high costs and, moreover, strengthens the sense of community within the association.
In addition, we are especially grateful to the sponsors listed below who support our association and its members.
At a distance of approximately 1.4 km you will find the Herenhof shopping centre, with supermarkets such as Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Lidl.
For added convenience, the marina offers free grocery bicycles for visiting guests.

The Herenhof shopping centre offers a Chinese restaurant, a fast‑food outlet, as well as Italian and Indian restaurants.
In Woubrugge, there is a restaurant next to the bridge on this side of the water, and on the opposite side of the water—in the village itself—you will find a Chinese and a fast‑food restaurant.
In addition, Alphen aan den Rijn offers a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.
At about 400 m distance from the port you can find the Bus stop Poortwachter. The city bus no. 1, which can take you to the center of Alphen aan den Rijn in 10 minutes (stop Centrum Hoge Zijde) or to the railway station.
On the way back then take city bus no. 2 from the city to the marina (stop Poortwachter). These busses are scheduled each 30 min.
If you walk 1.4 km in straight direction to the east, to the shopping center "De Herenhof", you can take a bus 470 to Schiphol Airport and then from there take bus 397 directly into the interesting center of Amsterdam next to the Rijksmuseum. To the north at the same distance from our harbour is Woubrugge and there you can take the bus to the interesting center of Leiden or to the Alrijne Hospital.
